According to the story of Adam and Eve, it was after they had tasted the forbidden fruit that they realised they were without clothes. From that moment on, nothing would ever be the same again!
Nudity was thus associated with shame, rejected and prohibited. And the law could punish it, considering it a form of exhibitionism, i.e. the public display of what was supposed to remain hidden.
Nudity is disturbing and becomes a symbol of defiance, an act of protest and protest.
